My new routine has me in a state of confusion. For the better part of my life I rise at around 9am and that’s considered early. ‘I’m not a morning person.’ How many times have the people of my life heard me say that? I used it all the time for work, ‘well mornings are sacred.' Hardly, I was sleeping off my high. Born again, I wake up at 7:30am on the Sabbath and on week days it’s between 6am-6:30am. I know, I guess I really am a morning person! I wake up and immediately grab my Bible now for a dose of goodness, my new high.
Friday morning, I pray my prayer: Give me discernment as you show me my heart, let me SEE what you want me to see, and grant me wisdom. I start on week 4 of The Patriarchs with Beth Moore.
Second paragraph, wow that was quick, “Some of the most family-oriented people I know are my single adults deeply involved in their parents’, nephews’, or nieces’ lives.” For those that know me, I wear the Auntie badge proudly, it’s “TT” to you. Okay Lord, I’m paying attention, thank you. Almost concluded with the first lesson when I’m directed to go look up Isaiah 65:23-24 -
“23 They will not labor without success
or bear children destined for disaster,
for they will be a people blessed by the Lord
along with their descendants.
24 Even before they call, I will answer;
while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
To me personally, a former employer and dear friend told me, “You should approach everything you do with excellence.” Discernment Alert: she wasn’t talking about perfect pressure or control, she was talking about ethics. Don’t be lazy, be honest, and trust the process. Now I can honestly say that the labor brings success. Second line, having miscarried in my life, I am grateful for the Lord’s decision even though I greatly wanted children. I still do, but that would have been a disaster for sure so third line... I am blessed! I underlined and highlighted the word descendants, confirmation that he is always with us. Thank you YHWH! I felt the need, the instinct, to keep reading...
Isiah 65:25 -
“The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
and the lion will eat straw like cattle,
but the serpent’s food will be dust!
They will not do what is evil or destroy
on my entire holy mountain,”
says the Lord.”
Boom. Easter Egg. I will break it down as I perceive it:
“The wolf and lamb will feed together,”- Together is “as one”
“and the lion will eat straw like cattle”– I further researched this line with biblestudytools.com and it’s saying that the lions and the cows will feed together, “as one”. Like those men you see cuddling a lion, I always thought they we’re crazy and promoting stupidity. In actuality, they’re promoting peace, harmony, fearlessness, the men are tamed. The fear a cow has for a lion is False Evidence Appearing Real and if the cow just casually chills back and wonders, the lion will befriend the cow. I see this as a metaphor for misunderstandood Christians. Christians, resist the fear! Most attacks are a false projection. Challenge your thinking on this one – multiple scenarios there. Okay God, I’ll work on that one. That's a tough one.
“but the serpent’s food will be dust!”– Meaning rendered useless. The battle is over!
“They will not do what is evil or destroy on my entire holy mountain, ”says the Lord”– He’s talking about protecting the land. Is Fear what’s causing global warming? Is Tomorrowland more than a movie? Here’s what stuck out the most having been reminded of the movie and that infamous saying, “Two wolves, which wolf wins? The wolf you feed.” I looked up the word Wolf in the dictionary.
Wolf: Either of Two carnivorous mammals of the family Canidae especially the gray wolf of Northern regions that hunt in hierarchical packs; hyena; destructive larva; predatory; fierce; a person performing unwanted conduct to another; a harness in some tones of a bowed stringed instrument due to defective vibration. Dissonance of unequal temperament.
What’s Dissonance? A harsh disagreeable combination of sounds; discord, lack of agreement; consistent conflict. A combination of tones considered to suggest unrelieved tension and requires resolution!
This is SOOOOO interesting! Canidae from Latin, canis, "dog") is a biological family of dog-like carnivorans, referred to as dogs and constitutes a clade
What’s a Clade: from Ancient Greek: κλάδος, klados, "branch"), also known as a natural group of organisms composed of a common ancestor and all its lineal descendants - on a phylogenetic tree
Why did I just underline that word in verse 23?! It keeps going...
A phylogenetic tree is a branching diagram or a tree showing the evolutionary relationships among various biological species or other entities based upon similarities and differences in their physical or genetic characteristics. All life on Earth is part of a single phylogenetic tree, indicating common ancestry.
In biology, phylogenetics (from Greek φυλή/φῦλον (phylé/phylon) "tribe, clan, race", and γενετικός (genetikós) "origin, source, birth") is a part of systematics that addresses the inference of the evolutionary history and relationships among or within groups of organisms a phylogenetic tree.
Who says his Word isn’t eternal?! Last night my mother told me that my brothers name means “the descendant” right after I had this discovery. Why does lineage keep coming up to mind? Why is that everywhere?
Twin wolves. Two camps. Wolf and the lamb. Lion in the Cattle. Which one wins?
The one you FEED.
I owe my brother, the descendent, a huge apology. You see, our whole lives I felt like he was harshing my mellow with his Eeyore vibes. I could not stand him. At times I thought he was embarrassing, at times I felt like his smile was just permanently broken, he killed the mood to dance. Literally, there was a no dance rule while in his car. Impossible for me still to this day, I can’t even apply mascara without popping a hip!
I can’t help but feel I somehow manifested the descendants Eeyore's mood swings to the grump solitude guy he is today. Is he even like that all the time or just around me? If a tree falls and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? We mock each other by saying we’re arch nemesis’s, but you know what? He’s rescued me more times that I can count, one time without question I would not be here to share. He isn’t my arch nemesis at all, he’s my hero… literally! I love him with all my heart and I want to publicly thank him for his love, his care, his laughter even when I don’t catch it, and his understanding to continue to put up with me.

“Hell just froze over.” I guarantee that’s the thought he's having when he reads this, ha! Our problems are over when we say it’s over…
